Help us to raise £60 000 in 8 weeks to promote Specialist Mental Health Services for Children

It is our aim to offer training to identify mental illness and abuse in children and to act; treat (if Health) and support (if non Health) in Khayelitsha, Paarl and Retreat in South Africa for at least 6 months.

Target Audience:  90 individuals per month; professionals working in Adult Mental Health, General Practice, NGO’s, Police, Social Services and Education

We are working with the Department of Health along with the University of Stellenbosch and the University of Cape Town.

£25 will fund one week’s training for one person.

We believe this may affect 9000 children per year.

Mental Health Bus International Projects (MHB IP) aims to provide specialist outreach mental health services for hard to reach children in deprived areas of the UK and developing countries.

MHB IP constitutes the outreach division of CINAPS Ltd (Cambridge Independent Neuroscience and Psychiatry Services) and has as primary goal service development and provision for vulnerable and hard to reach children in high risk and clinically challenging settings.  CINAPS Ltd was founded by Dr CR Venter MBChB MRCPsych and Dr JN Rundle MBChB MRCPsych, Consultants in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, in February 2009.  CINAPS provides private and pro bono consultation in the UK as well as services to the NHS and other national and international organisations.  CINAPS funds pro bono work through private work and NHS consultations.  Please visit for more information on our services in the UK and abroad.  Company Registration Number 6937186.

MHB IP is entirely dependent on private and corporate funding, donations and sponsorship in order to not increase strain on limited resources within existing local community services.  Our Directors, Dr CR Venter and Dr JN Rundle, are currently our main donors.  Please see for our contact details, for more information on our outreach work, on how you can support this project or to donate funds directly.
